目前我国北方流感活动趋势略有下降，南方地区流感活动呈整体上升趋缓，流感样病例聚集性发热疫情呈下降趋势。总体上处于流感的一个高峰阶段，不能放松警惕。
监测显示，2018年第二周，全国（未含港澳台地区）报告流感样病例聚集性发热疫情119起，以乙型流感导致的聚集性疫情为主，近两周流感样病例聚集性疫情呈下降趋势。目前，我国已建成了包括408家流感监测网络实验室、554家哨点医院的国ji*流感监测网络。
监测显示，今年流感的优势毒株是乙型流感的一个系，但甲型病毒也在同时流行，目前未发现耐药性流感病毒变异。王大燕指出，目前各型别流感均未发现影响疾病严重性和耐药性的流感病毒变异，不具备出现流感大流行的生物学基础。预计多数地区随着学校和托幼机构放假，季节性高峰将出现回落。
