尾蚴为卵圆形、乳白色、半透明的泡，头节凹陷在泡内，可见 有小钩及吸盘。此种具尾蚴的肉俗称为米粒肉或豆肉。这种猪肉 被人吃了后，如果尾蚴未被杀死，在12指肠中其头节自内翻出， 借小钩及吸盘附着于肠壁上，经2～3个月后发育成熟。成虫寿命 较长，据称有的可活25年以上。此外，人误食猪带绦虫虫卵，也 可在肌肉、皮下、脑、眼等部位发育成尾蚴。其感染的方式有： 经口误食被虫卵污染的食物、水及蔬菜等，或已有该虫寄生，经 被污染的手传入口中，或由于肠之逆蠕动（恶心呕吐）将脱落的 孕卵节片返入胃中，其情形与食入大量虫卵一样。由此可知．人 不仅是猪带绦虫的终寄主也可为其中间寄主。猪带绦虫病可引起 患者消化不良、腹痛、腹泻、失眠、乏力、头痛，儿童可影响发 育。猪尾蚴如寄生在人脑的部位，可引起癫痛、阵发性昏迷、呕 吐、循环与呼吸紊乱；寄生在肌肉与皮下组织，可出现局部肌肉 酸痛或麻木；寄生在眼的任何部位可引起视力障碍，甚至失明。 此虫为世界性分布，但感染率不高，我国也有分布。猪带绦虫病 在中国广泛分布，各地均有散发病例在东北与华东较牛带绦虫病 多见，其比例为8∶1与7.1∶1，感染率由不足1%到15.2%。在云 南、河南、黑龙江、吉林广西壮族自治区等地均有地方性流行。 传染源感染猪带绦虫成虫的人是本病的传染源在中国农村猪仍以 分散饲养为主猪常在圈外活动觅食，故误吞入人粪中猪带绦虫节 片或虫卵机会较多。
